About Us
My Story
My name is Tanima Quintano, owner of Lucky Dog Pet Service, and I grew up in the beautiful beach town of Kailua on Oahu. I have always had a love for animals, dogs in particular. I also love being outdoors as much as possible with my pup Mele and enjoy hiking, running and being out on the ocean.
Lucky Dog Pet Service was inspired by and got its start because of my love for my dog Mele and how she changed my life just with her amazing personality. She really made me realize my passion for animals and how I wanted to help care for other people‘s pets knowing that they feel the same way about their pets as I do about Mele (pictured left and below). I had always said that I wanted to be a professional animal lover and I found a way to make that a reality!
I wake up enthusiastic everyday knowing that I get to spend my time with the animals that I love and that I’m giving their owners peace of mind knowing that their furry friends are in good hands.

Quality Pet Care
Lucky Dog Pet Service is locally owned and operated on the Windward side of Oahu specializing in dog walking, pet care and pet transportation. We are compassionate, reliable animal lovers and are licensed, bonded and insured under Lucky Dog Pet Service LLC.
Services and rates
Complimentary Initial 30 minute meet and greet with for new clients
Dog walker/pet sitter meet and greet $25
Dog walking rates apply for one dog.
Additional $7 fee per additional dog walked.
Dog walking/pet visits:
15 minute quick visit $18
30 minute walk/visit $26
45 minute walk/visit $36
Minimum 2 times a week for regularly scheduled dog walks/visits.
Additional $7 charge for visits before 7am, after 4pm and on weekends.
Additional $5-$20 charge for visits to Kaneohe and Waimanalo depending on location.
Additional Services:
Basic bath $38
Ear Cleaning $15
Watering indoor plants $10-$20
Watering indoor/outdoor plants $20-$40
Dog waste yard pick up service starting at $17. $5- $10 if added on to your dogs regularly scheduled walk days.
Pet transportation:
We offer pet transportation to grooming and vet appointments in Kailua. $24 each way. Additional charge for appointments around the island.
Pet sitting:
Basic overnight pet sitting $100 per night. Basic overnight pet sitting includes feeding two times a day, a total of 45 minutes of daily dog walks, playtime, picking up the yard and bringing in the mail.
Additional $10 for each additional dog per night
Additional $6 for each additional cat, rabbit, bird and/or fish tank. Additional $10 per day for pets that need to be let out to relieve themselves mid day.
Additional $25 charge for dogs that require a strong dog handler besides the pet sitter on their walk. This applies to dogs that are challenging to walk and require myself to walk them instead of the pet sitter.
Additional $25 charge for overnight pet sitting on major holidays listed below.
Check in time for our pet sitters for overnight pet sitting is as early as 12pm and check out by 1pm on the day of your return. Additional $25 charge for extended pet sitting past 1pm check out.
Additional $5-$10 charge for medications such as eye drops, ear drops, special topical medications, multiple pills or daily medications exceeding one medication.
Subcutaneously administered medications starting at $20
Special feeding times/schedules additional $7
We are happy to water a few of your indoor plants which would be included in overnight pet sitting, however there is an additional charge for watering multiple indoor and/or outdoor plants. Watering multiple plants while pet sitting ranges from $5-$20 depending on the amount of plants.
50% non refundable deposit required at time of booking for pet sitting. Balance due upon return.
Holiday pricing:
Additional $15 charge for pet visits or dog walks on Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Memorial Day weekend, and Labor Day weekend when available.
